Hey There Ladybird album art A few weeks back, we tossed a curve ball at our followers, releasing a cover song on a Thursday when we put out the Ladybird cover of Jersey Corn Pickers ?  What gives, right?  For Cover Club, covers are Monday, originals are Thursday, right?  Well sometimes you just have to break the mold.  Since we only released one video that week, to make it up to our fans we have two more Ladybird videos from their Cover Club Session , live from Church of Kong . In just a few days, THIS SATURDAY, a line-up of epic proportions is ready to be unleashed AT THE RIVALS HOUSE . Last month, we started off the joint series at the Rivals House with rockers Up The Chain and Satellite Hearts .  This month were turning down the volume and doubling the lineup.  Four acts will take to the mic with Sean Hoots, Emily Ana Zeitlyn (Divers), Ladybird, and The Rivals all ready to wow audiences.  Ranging from Folk-tonk to Bluegrass to cutting edge rock, these four local outfits are some of the best Philly has to offer. The event is limited, so be sure to RSVP.    While the event is NOT FREE, please be prepared to pay according to how awesome you think the night is going ($10-20).  To get an idea of what incredible fantasitic-ness you'll be a part of, here are a few videos to get you ready. Welcome back to # CoverClub .  For this special Thursday edition of we continue our journey abroad in Philadelphia by taking the team out to Church of Kong .  For those not in the know, Church of Kong is not a church in the typical sense, but it's an early afternoon of healing via Nodding Head Brewery beverages, wonderful music including TJ Kong , and the best congregation anywhere.  This curated monthly event is a great time for new music each month.  For this occasion we found ourselves in the presence of three sirens in the form of Laura Szklarski, Cecilia Ferneborg , and Sarah Larsen as Ladybird. Doing a Cover Club recording at a live event such as Church of Kong, doesn't allow all the safeguards that an in studio session would allow, but with three talented ladies like those of Ladybird it's amazing how smooth the recording went.  Re-listening to the set later, there wasn't a pang for an edit or re-take.  Ladybird is natural when performing and capturing the

In just under two weeks, a very special edition of #CoverClub will take place live at Church of Kong .  This is the monthly series featuring TJ Kong of TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb and a selection of rotating friends.  The series is a wonderful way to wake up on a sleepy Center City Philly morning.  The combination of the Nodding Heads killer brews, yummy menu and live tunes are great.  When you allow the Kong touch on the lineup to be applied and it's a fantastic morning. LIVE AT CHURCH OF KONG The Cover Club crew is eager to capture some new TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb for our Philly-centric cover series.  The original track stands to be one of their brand new songs, while the Philly-centric cover is yet to be announced.  Come join us to see the tapings before they are released in the upcoming months on YouTube.
