Concert Review - Song Dogs / The Bailey Hounds / Keil Everett/Tin Horses / Country Mice at North Star Bar, March 22nd, 2013

When I saw the lineup announced for the recent Country Mice show at North Star Bar, I had to go.  First a national Indie band I kinda dug, two local bands I really wanted to see live, and a local musician that suddenly was in my radar.   I had to go, it was a must see.  Despite a crappy experience the last time I went to North Star, and despite a complete fail on my part the last time I tried to see the Song Dogs, I had to go.  If it took going early just to get a parking spot, so be it, it was going to happen.  I had to see this show!  Seriously how often do you get four acts out of four that you want to see?   Kiel Everett/Tin Horses   http://tinhorses.bandcamp.com/ Kiel Everett-Vocals, Guitar Michael Sobel-Guitar, Lap Steel Patrick Hickey-Vocals, Bass Aaron Chiazza - Drums First up was Kiel Everett.  Kiel was originally set to be solo that night, due to a lack of drummer.  Things fell into place for the nigh...

Welcome back everyone! I've got a lot on my mind, but little time to do it/write it.  Here goes: LAST CONCERT: Amy Correia graced NJ during one of her limited concerts in support of You Go Your Way. Great Show, but I need to get a blanket for outdoor concerts!  Check out the review linked at her name NEXT CONCERT(s) : XPoNential Music Festival live from Camden, NJ July 22 - 24, 2011 at Wiggins Park on the Waterfront!   This is a 3 day fest, you can buy for all 3 days, or purchase individual days.  There's even a discount for xpn members.  I am thrilled as I finally get to see Ted Leo and the Pharmacists after a walking away from a venue nearly 3 years ago. I am heading out for Saturday's show on my own.  In support of The Brutalist Bricks Ted & co, take the stage @ 5:15 followed by Booker T . Booker T, is solo now, without the MG's.  He is a lifetime achievement Grammy awardee and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame....
