Here goes!
First up: SPIRIT FAMILY REUNION.
When Spirit Family Reunion comes to town, you won't be lost in the glitz and glamour. In fact, you rarely see singer Nick Panken outfitted in much more than a white T-Shirt! With or without setlist, what you do have is a pure love for the bringing their joyful noise to the fans. What comes to mind is Revival when listening to this sextet. Whether spiritual, traditional or folk, it's a sound that can only leave you warm inside and smiling on the outside.

Next on my list is the tiny troubadour Erin McKeown. As she prepares to release her new album MANIFESTRA, on January 15, 2013, she swings through Philly, playing the intimate Tin Angel on November 18th!
Come out to the show or go to her site to see how you can support the new album making "here and get access to all kinds of amazing treats like house concerts, museum trips with me, handwritten lyrics and more."
In all my times seeing Erin McKeown, she has yet to disappoint. Rather, she finds new ways to make the evenings memorable. From her stories to skill on the guitar, she continues to amaze!

At the end of the month there is a Weekend tri-fecta with a Thursday-Friday-Saturday show on the radar.
Thursday & Friday are both at Johnny Brenda's. David Wax Museum plays a few more east coast shows, before heading west to close out the year. They are on the road supporting brand new Knock Knock Get Up! This adventurous release brings more singles to the ever growing David Wax setlist. So far, I've only been able to check out Kinglsey Flood looking into other nominees of the Boston Music Awards. I quite enjoy them, and find them to be reminiscent of local stars, The Lawsuits
