Part of the ongoing series of 'Molly Songs': a weekly look featuring songs that our children will love, but more importantly parents can enjoy as well.
I've discussed in the past what the key ingredients are for the Molly songs are, whether it is simple lyrics or fun beats. This week's installment is a fun song, but visually appealing video aspects are what caught Molly's attention! Lisa Hannigan's 'Knots' is the lead single from her late 2011 album Passenger.

The 'Knots' video is so much fun! Visually, it captivates you while listening to the song. If you see the making of 'Knots' you'll find that it was done in one amazing take! The 'Knots' video was uploaded September 19th, 2011 the day before the US release of Passenger. Since then, three other of the album singles have had videos released. 'Little Bird' on October 19th, 'Safe Travels' November 19th, and 'What'll I do' on January 18th! All of those songs, plus songs from her previous album Sea Sew are available for your viewing pleasure.
As I sat here finishing this post, Lisa Hannigan is clearly cemented in as Molly Song Hall of Famer. 'Lille' from Sea Sew has been a Molly playlist staple for quite some time, with it's fable like lyrics. Recently, we found the video, and she repeatedly asks for the "one with the books". Furthermore, Molly was calm and peaceful while watching these videos. Which for those of you who know her, know that this is not the normal for the on-the-go child! She even cuddled up for that rare weekend nap, during 'Splishy Splashy'

Another magical track from Sea Sew is 'I Don't Know', which also has a very kid oriented, magical video.
I was surprised this week, when I finally got to listen to Passenger the whole way through. Previously, I had listened to it as part of a giant playlist from the music I downloaded around the holiday, hearing a track at a time and enjoying every bit of it. However, once I played it through I found out how deeply enjoyable and strong this album is. Her voice is so pure it makes you stop and pause. You can feel that she took her time writing the stories, leaving you to take the time to listen!
