8. I got a new name, and that new name is LARRY!

The Beastie Boys have dropped some more science on us this summer, and it goes by the name of LARRY!
Well actually it goes by the name of The Hot Sauce Committe: Part 2, the newest album since 2004's To the 5 Boroughs. I love the Beasties through and through, but I have yet to endorse this album. I'm a little peeved that they unnecessarily dropped some Mother F's in the lyrics of 'Make Some Noise' the painfully catchy lead single. It was going so well before they dropped the MF bomb. It is not artistically relevant in anyway, unlike many of the F bombs in To the 5 Boroughs
Anyway, outside of 'the Larry Routine' and 'Lee Majors Come Again' there are no other singles on the album to speak of.. There are many quality tracks, including most of the second half. The important part is that it is summertime and the Beastie Boys are relevant again! 'Cause really can you have a party without the Beastie Boys? Not really and it has been a few years since they have even been on the list!
As with To the 5 Boroughs give it a few listens and sit down with they lyrics. These old rappers from NYC have a few more stories to tell, and much of it is trapped in the rhyme not just the sound. I was ready to dismiss the album until another friend encouraged me to sit down with them. Likewise, he had already dismissed To the 5 Boroughs without a proper reading.
Sit back enjoy and let the Beastie Boys 'Mmmmmmmmmm Drop"
