This week's installment of the Molly Song of the Week - Johnny Be Good by Chuck Berry is a song that everyone can love. It is a timeless classic that is enjoyed by the young and old alike. Chuck Berry's hits are unwaveringly popular, as noted in his inclusion in the Cars Soundtrack featuring his version of 'Route 66'.
I first became aware of 'Johnny Be Good' when I was a kid. I was a little older than Molly's 3, as I was 8 at the time Back To the Future featured Marty McFly covering the yet to be created Chuck Berry song.
The song is great as a kid song for many reasons. The guitar is high energy, not to mention fantastic. It has a repetitive, simple, and relatively silly chorus. Also it has fun piano parts.
